Five female archetypes spend their days together in an enchanted castle, awaiting the arrival of a man to give their lives meaning because that's what they've always done. However, he's taking his sweet time. As the women grow impatient, they begin to stretch beyond their molds, imagining the lives they might have if they stopped waiting and started living. When a man finally does arrive, things don't go according to plan.
